Soooo, for those of you thinking these kids are just a tiny slice of southeastern America while the show edited out the informed, educated people who actually know a little something about the world they live in, hate to tell ya but this IS the majority, not some weeded-out small sampling. THIS is Trump’s base. Nice. Well-mannered. Family-oriented. Normal kids. But completely clueless as to how the world works and has worked, much like their parents. They’re so confident and yet so clueless. They’re painfully uninformed and yet believe they’re so knowledgeable. But it’s not just these kids, is it? The parents and grandparents are also as shockingly uninformed. When the long-term economic impact from Trump’s policies finally root in over the next 4 years, I’m not looking forward to the day when a loaf of bread costs $40 and these kids are making $20/hour. That’s a scenario where we look back and think Trump wasn’t so bad.
